Articulating Arms

Knight pneumatic articulating arms, extension arms, vertical arms and servo-controlled arms come in a wide range of configurations to lift, rotate, balance, move and transfer products in production areas such as conveyors, staging areas, assembly lines and many other applications.

The ergonomic arm design helps reduce operator fatigue by absorbing torque reaction, while allowing products to be lifted and handled smoothly and precisely.

Articulating arms are particularly well suited to positioning fixtures, end effectors or tooling in work areas that require complex handling.

Description

Knight pneumatic lift arms use a parallelogram mechanism for smooth, flexible vertical motion. This design allows fixtures or end effectors to be positioned vertically with precision.

Description

Knight servo lift arms integrate Servo Hoist intelligent assist technology (IAD), giving precise control of lifting, lowering and rotating in a wide range of situations.

Available in multiple configurations: articulating arm, extension arm and vertical arm. Can be mounted on a single rail, fixed pedestal, rotating pedestal or floor-mounted stand.

  • Maximum travel speed: 200 fpm (~61 m/min)

Vertical lift arm

Description

Knight vertical lift arms allow an end effector to be mounted on a fixed vertical column. Up/down motion is provided by a pneumatic Air Balancer, Servo Hoist, pneumatic cylinder or chain hoist.

This type of lift arm suits applications that require long vertical travel and high positioning accuracy.

  • Maximum lifting capacity: 226kg (direct load – pneumatic hoist model shown).
  • Lifting capacity: 226kg to 454kg (offset load – not shown).
  • Lifting capacity: up to 680kg (offset load – with pulley – servo model shown).

Extension Arms

Description

Knight extension arms extend the working reach above the work area beyond the limits of a conventional rail system. They can be fitted with a pneumatic Air Balancer or Servo Hoist for flexible load lifting and lowering.

  • Maximum lifting capacity: 700 lbs (317.5 kg) – with pneumatic Air Balancer
  • Maximum lifting capacity: 1000 lbs (453.5 kg) – with Servo Hoist
