Plastic crates in this warehouse are stacked in tall columns and filled with product. Taking the top crate means reaching above your head, taking the bottom one means bending double. One crate is not that heavy, but a few hundred per shift wears out shoulders and backs.
FullSharp installed a pneumatic jib crane next to the conveyor, with a light aluminum boom swinging around the column to cover the whole stacking area. Under the boom is a pneumatic lifting unit fed by a coiled air hose and a plastic crate gripper with handles. The system runs entirely on compressed air: it only needs the plant air supply, with no power cable to the equipment.
The crate is balanced, so once it is gripped the operator just guides the handle and the crate goes up, down and around. Placing crates on the conveyor or restacking them is a one-person job.

Top and bottom crates are all handled at a comfortable height.
Grip, lift, swing and place by one person, no helper needed.
Air powered with no electrical cabinet on the equipment, well suited to food warehouses and wet areas.
