Overview

The Knight Global D-Series servo hoist keeps the safety and programming features of the Safety Drop Stop servo hoist while omitting I/O for a significantly reduced cost.

Knight Global’s D-Series Servo Hoist comes equipped with all the features of the patented “Safety Drop Stop” Servo Hoist launched in 2017, minus the I/O for a significantly reduced cost.

Introducing a dynamic servo hoist solution that is the safest, most intelligent and now, the most economical hoist in the world.

This new dynamic servo hoist is equipped with all the same programming features and benefits as the current servo hoist systems, minus any I/O. This new version of the servo hoist allows Knight Global to be more competitive with the lower end Intelligent Assist Devices (IAD’s) in the industry without sacrificing safety or intelligent features.

Additionally, the D-Series Servo Hoist includes a drop-in graphite stick inside of the gear tower to ensure lubrication of the chains. Replacement sticks can be ordered separately.

This hoist requires the use of the KLCA1030 Inline Control Handle.

Details

The KLCA1030 is a programmable load sensing handle that mounts in line with the chain on Knight's D-Series Servo Hoist System. The KLCA1030 incorporates Knight's latest designed and patented load cells that have an integral amplifier for noise immunity. For connecting devices below the handle grip, an improved clevis mount with cross pinning eliminates the need for threaded rod. Most operators find that the inline handle offers an inherent intuitive motion.

The KLCA1030 actuation trigger prevents the system from any unintentional movement. This ensures that the operator has to depress the trigger to initiate any up or down movement. The trigger has a feather touch, so it requires very little force to actuate. Knight's new servo software code for the trigger enables the handle’s speed to change direction faster, requiring less force to move it up and down. Also, the KLCA1030 is smaller in size and weight, which creates a more ergonomic working condition for the operator.

The KLCA1030 Inline Control handle with Trigger has increased responsiveness, to meet the demands of high production rates with little effort.

The KLCA1030 handle’s top hat connects to our 4mm KDSA1010 servo chain.

Details

The KCA1033 is a Base Pendant Control for a Knight Servo Hoist. It permits the operator to control over-sized or cumbersome loads while maneuvering them into tight spaces. Control Handle is equipped with the same features as the Knight Inline Trigger Control Handle and is available in a Single or Two-Speed configuration that may be mounted on a separate cable, connected to a Knight (LMM) Load Monitoring Module or connected directly to a Servo Hoist box.

Knight Global's Operator Control Interface consists of (2) 4-Pin M12 female receptacles for I/O, (1) 6-Pin M12 receptacle for fixture handle, (1) 19-Pin male receptacle, Green/Blue lighted push buttons, lighted Red Run-Stop Push Button and (1) 9-Pin programming port.

The KLCA1064 Rotary Union is for SDS Servo Hoists with 200-400 lbs. capacity. It includes Knight's patented load cells with integral amplifier for noise immunity. Knight Global's KDSA1010 and KDSA1011 SDS Servo Hoist Chain Replacement Kits are developed in conjunction with Pewag to ensure optimal strength and wear. Knight Global is the only (IAD) Intelligent Assist Device company in the world to use chain in its products. Knight's KDSA1010 and KDSA1011 patented chain is adapted to the requirements through a special heat treatment technology, in which we case harden our chain to promote extended wear and strength. Knight's Servo Hoist chains are electro galvanized to protect against corrosion and treated in a chromating which increases corrosion protection. Servo chains are ideal chain for high-wear applications and high dynamic chain loads.

The KSAA1001 and KSAA1002 Quick Connect/Disconnects allow for fast connections and disconnections of fixtures and end effectors. Details

Secures fixtures and loads in-line with the Servo System chain. The KSAA1004 Shackle is normally attached below the load cell. Knight's Shackle features a female clevis for direct connections. The KSAA1004 Shackles are constructed of 4140 steel, and heat treated to Rock "C" 38-42. They have (2) two M6 steel dowel pins to capture, verses threaded rod and a M5 cross hole with retaining plates. Shackle is normally attached below the load cell handle.

KSAA1011Servo Hoist Rail Brake

Details

Bolt-on design that attaches to the servo hoists load trolley. The KSAA1011 Rail Brake is typically used when the operator needs to lock the servo hoist from moving in the bridge or runway rail. The locking feature allows the operator to accurately load and unload parts. The KSAA1011 servo hoist parking brake is also designed to be used as a drag brake, but a regulator is needed to supply air pressure to the cylinder. Servo Hoist Rail Brake can be mounted facing the front or rear of the Servo Hoist depending on the applications specific braking requirements.

Details

The KSAD1022 Swivel Hook has a latch that automatically closes when the load is applied and can only open by pressing the release button and removing the load. You load them up and their latch locks them down. The KSAD1022 Swivel Hook is a Supermax grade 100 hook that is 20% stronger then high strength (grade 80) hooks when used with chain of the same grade. This hook is included with the KSAA1007 Swivel Hook with Shackle. The SHUR-LOC® hook, if properly installed and locked, can be used for personnel lifting applications and meets the intent of OSHA Rule 1926.1431(g)(1)(i)(A) and 1926.1501(g)(4)(iv)(B). Use in corrosive environment requires shank and nut inspection in accordance with ASME B 30.10-1.10.4 (b)(5)(c) 2009.

KCA1040Electrical Coiled Cable

Details

The KCA1040 Electrical Coil cable provides a robust method of communicating from the OCI (Operator Control Interface) module on the floor level, to the servo controls up on the rail. The coil cable is made up of a high resistant PVC and has proved the test of time. The four inch coil connects the In-Line Handle or (LMM) Load Monitoring Module in a clean and compact package by wrapping around the Servo Hoist Chain. The KCA1040 Coiled Cable is made exclusively for Knight with 19-Pin Military style connectors and is available in various cable lengths. Knight's KCA1040 coiled cable is provided in many lengths, with specified lengths being the total. For example a 3ft coil will stretch to 3ft. See product features for all part numbers.
