Packing lines usually handle two different kinds of goods: carton boxes and plastic crates. Carrying them by hand dents the cartons and lets the slippery crates slide out of grip, while a separate lifting device for each type takes up space and doubles the investment.

FullSharp installs a jib crane on an overhead rail system carrying a vacuum lifting unit with a suction head shared between both types of goods. A trolley runs along the rail, the arm swings through its radius, and one worker picks up, moves, and sets down the load in position.

Overhead Rail Jib Crane with Vacuum Lifter for Cartons and Plastic Crates

Jib crane on an overhead rail with a vacuum suction head lifting cartons and plastic crates.

Installed Equipment

  • Overhead rail system: the trolley runs smoothly along the whole working line, extending the operating range without taking up floor space.
  • Jib crane arm: swings through a wide radius, reaching pallets, conveyors, and delivery carts around the station.
  • Vacuum suction head: the suction cup is selected for both carton and plastic crate surfaces, gripping firmly without deforming the goods.
  • Vacuum pump: maintains steady suction, with a handle controlling suction, release, and lifting speed.

Benefits for Your Plant

One device, two goods types

A single lifting unit handles both carton boxes and plastic crates, avoiding the need for two separate stations.

No damaged packaging

Suction force is spread evenly across the goods, so cartons don't dent and crates don't crack at the edges.

Wide coverage

The overhead rail combined with the swinging arm lets you pick up and set down goods at many points around the packing area.

Consulting for Your Plant

FullSharp measures the box and crate dimensions and weight to select a suction head that works for both. Our engineers survey the ceiling structure, rail length, and the location of pallets and conveyors. We then install, test with real goods, and provide on-site warranty support.
