Overview

The Knight Global dual drum balancer houses two synchronized spools in one body to lift and balance long or awkward loads from two suspension points.

Knight has designed a “Dual Drum” Air Balancer with the patented Safety Drop Stop “SDS” dual chain feature. This type of Pneumatic Balancer is typically used in applications that require the manipulation of an unwieldy or large part. Also, a single suspension point may not stabilize a lengthy part. Some applications require that the fixture remain square to a part and (2) two hook points prevent fixture rotation.

Having two synchronized spools inside one housing, the Dual Drum Balancer offers added balance to awkwardly weighted or shaped loads by lifting and balancing from two suspension points.

This balancer comes equipped with an external retract control. Limit switches can also be ordered as an option.

Pneumatic Balancers are used in applications where a “float” condition is beneficial. Float allows for the hands-free final positioning of an object. The up/down speed of an pneumatic balancer is quicker when compared to a hoist and allows for a “feathering” operation when locating the load. The pendant controls are ergonomically designed incorporating color-coded thumb levers.

Knight chain balancers use a custom grade 80 lifting chain specially treated to increase the life of the chain by up to 300% over standard grade 80 lifting chain.

The BPA2035 Quick Connect/Disconnect allows for fast connections and disconnections of fixtures and end effectors. Easily disengages by the simple push and twist of the release pin. Each quick disconnect comes with two pins, and can be quickly connected to the load chain.

The BCS2213 and BCS2214 Feather-Touch Air Balancer Control handle is typically used for lightweight applications. This control handle is activated by an up or down movement of the control handle. Knight's Feather-Touch Control handles are available in a Horizontal handle (BCS2213) or Vertical handle (BCS2214) with standard hose lengths of up to 10 ft. [3m] (Straight Hose only).
