An assembled wheel and tire is bulky, and turning it by hand to align the bolt holes is difficult. Doing this many times a day tires the shoulders and often scratches the rim surface. The shop also rents its building, so drilling anchors into the roof structure isn't an option.
FullSharp built a 5T steel rail frame standing freestanding on the floor, rated at 200 kg, with no need to hang from the roof. A trolley runs along the rail on top of the frame, with a wheel rim gripper tool suspended below. The technician grips the rim, lifts it to working height, and gives it a gentle turn into the correct installation position.

Equipment Installed
- Freestanding steel frame: two gantry legs support the rail line, standing on the shop floor with no need to anchor into the roof.
- 5T steel rail: FullSharp's rail profile, rated at 200 kg, forming the travel path for the trolley.
- Wheel rim gripper tool: arms clamp around the rim, with protective padding to avoid scratching the paint finish.
- Trolley and suspension set: runs smoothly along the rail, keeping the load balanced as the technician turns the rim into position.
- End stops at both ends of the rail: limit the trolley's travel, preventing it from drifting beyond the frame's reach.
