FullSharp installed a standing-column pneumatic jib crane with a wide-jaw gripper for scrap metal, a load with sharp edges and irregular shapes that workers used to scoop by hand. The arm reaches over the scrap pile and swings 180 to 360 degrees, and the operator closes the grip with a valve and moves the load without touching the material.
Scrap metal and metal waste are among the hardest goods to handle in a workshop: sharp edges, irregular shapes, piled in heaps, so scooping by hand is both slow and risks cuts. Workers must bend down repeatedly, and collecting a few hundred kilograms per shift already exhausts them. The floor around the collection area is also tight, so a forklift can't get close.
FullSharp installs a pneumatic jib crane with a standing column, an arm that reaches right over the scrap pile, carrying a pneumatic gripper tool. The operator squeezes the valve to close the grip, pushes the arm to swing the load to a new spot, without touching the sharp material. Collection speed rises noticeably, with only one person needed to run the machine.

The pneumatic gripper does the job of a hand, so workers never handle sharp scrap directly.
Each grip takes a large chunk, and the short travel distance raises collection output per shift.
The powder-coated steel structure and pneumatic cylinder withstand dusty, damp conditions.
Use a gripper tool on a crane so nobody touches the material. The operator closes the jaws with a valve, lifts the scrap and swings it to the bin or collection point.
Around collection areas the floor is often too tight for a forklift. A column jib crane reaches over the pile from one fixed point and covers the area around it.
The arm in this project swings 180 to 360 degrees depending on the position. FullSharp sizes the jaw width and capacity to the real scrap type during the survey.
FullSharp surveys your workshop on site to measure the scrap-dumping area, check the foundation for mounting the column, and assess the available air supply. From there, we finalize the arm's reach, gripper jaw size, and the right mounting method for the column base. Call FullSharp to schedule a survey.
