Mobile Pneumatic Jib Crane for Steel Cages

Steel cages and metal baskets are bulky, and hooking cables on by hand throws the load off balance and risks hitting nearby stock. The lifting position also changes with each batch, so a fixed installation at one spot doesn't fit.

FullSharp introduced a mobile-base pneumatic jib crane, with the whole unit standing on a heavy base that moves with a push. The steel cage lifting tool hooks onto the cage's four lifting points, raising it evenly and swinging it gently to the drop location.

Equipment Installed

Mobile base: steel base with counterweight and wheels, one person can push the whole unit, with locking pins to secure it during operation.
Swing arm: rotates around the column to carry the load from the pick-up point to the drop point without moving the base.
Pneumatic hoist: lifts and lowers with air, speed adjusted by valve, holding the load in place when the control is released.
Steel cage lifting tool: a frame that hooks onto the cage's lifting points, keeping the cage balanced and limiting swing during lifting.
