Mobile Frame, 1000 kg Rail, Black Bear Hoist

The plant needed to lift loads up to a ton, but the metal roof and trusses couldn't take additional hanging load. Hiring a crane for each lift is costly and requires waiting, while pouring foundations for a fixed gantry crane would interfere with future machine layout plans. What was needed was a freestanding, relocatable lifting system.

FullSharp built a mobile support frame carrying a 1000 kg rated rail with a Black Bear electric hoist from Taiwan. The entire load transfers down through the frame to the floor, never touching the roof. When the plant layout changes, the frame can be relocated while keeping the whole equipment set intact.

Equipment Installed

Mobile support frame: a freestanding steel frame on the floor that can be relocated when the plant reorganizes its layout.
1000 kg rated rail: a rail beam mounted on the frame, with a trolley that runs the full length of the track to cover the work area.
Black Bear electric hoist: made in Taiwan, raised and lowered at the push of a button, with a brake that holds the load when the control button is released.
Trolley and end stops: the trolley rolls along the rail flange, with end stops at both ends to keep it within the track.
