FullSharp installed a manipulator with a vacuum unit shaped to car hoods, so operators can load these large, thin painted panels into a CNC fixture without warping or scratching them. The arm balances the weight and the operator only guides direction, placing the part precisely with no clamps and no marks on the surface.
Car hoods are large yet thin, so even two people struggle to keep the panel from warping while loading it into the machine. The painted and sheet metal surface scratches easily, and even a light bump against the fixture damages the part. Any misalignment means removing it and repositioning, slowing down every cycle.
FullSharp installed a manipulator with a vacuum suction unit custom-built for the car hood surface. The arm balances the weight so the operator only needs to guide direction, placing the part precisely into the CNC fixture. Vacuum suction means no clamping and no marks left on the surface.

- Anti-drop safety valve: holds vacuum if air pressure drops, keeping the part from falling onto the machine table.
- Rotating tool joint: tilts and rotates the part to align it precisely with the CNC machine's fixture.
