Jib Crane, Aluminum Rail, KITO Hoist

Many machining stations need to lift parts weighing tens of kilograms on and off the machine table throughout the shift. Doing it by hand is slow, prone to knocks, and hard on the worker's back. The area around the machine is also tight, leaving no room for a bridge crane running the length of the plant.

FullSharp installed an aluminum rail jib crane with a KITO hoist right at that location. The lightweight aluminum rail lets the trolley run smoothly, and the arm swings through an arc around the post. One person can swing the arm and press the lift button to bring the load exactly where it's needed.

Equipment Installed

Shaped aluminum rail: forms the jib arm, lightweight with low friction so the trolley can be pushed by hand along the full length.
Rotating joint on the post: lets the arm swing around the post, covering an arc-shaped work area without having to move the machine or the load.
Trolley on the rail: carries the hoist, sliding along the rail to bring the load in and out to the required reach.
KITO hoist: smooth lifting and lowering, stopping at the exact height, with pendant control so one person can operate it.
