A steel plant is a harsh environment — high heat and metal dust quickly wear equipment down. The parts that need lifting are heavy and hot, tiring for workers standing nearby for long periods, while a large overhead crane is too slow for moving loads within a narrow area.

FullSharp installed an electric articulating lift arm right at the work station, with a 360-degree rotating joint to cover the area around the operator. The unit lifts electrically, and its structure is selected for high-heat environments so it runs reliably in hot, dusty conditions.

Electric Articulating Lift Arm Operating in a Steel Plant

FullSharp electric articulating lift arm operating on the production floor of the steel plant.

Equipment Installed

  • Articulating arm: arm segments joined by an articulating joint that extend and fold to work in spaces surrounded by machinery.
  • Electric lifting unit: motor-driven lifting with stable speed and a firm hold when stopped.
  • 360-degree rotating joint: rotates fully around the support point to cover multiple pick-and-place positions.
  • Heat- and dust-resistant structure: materials and protective coating selected for steel plant conditions, reducing wear and breakdowns.
  • Control box: simple operation, letting the operator stand well away from the hottest zone.

Key Specifications

  • Joint rotation angle360 degrees

Benefits for the Factory

Durable in harsh conditions

The structure and materials are selected for heat and dust, extending the equipment's service life.

Faster than a large crane

Installed right at the station, so there is no need to wait for the plant's main crane.

Safer for workers

The equipment carries and holds the load firmly, so operators avoid prolonged contact with hot parts.
