Electric Articulating Lift Arm for Steel Plants

A steel plant is a harsh environment — high heat and metal dust quickly wear equipment down. The parts that need lifting are heavy and hot, tiring for workers standing nearby for long periods, while a large overhead crane is too slow for moving loads within a narrow area.

FullSharp installed an electric articulating lift arm right at the work station, with a 360-degree rotating joint to cover the area around the operator. The unit lifts electrically, and its structure is selected for high-heat environments so it runs reliably in hot, dusty conditions.
