Carton Palletizing with a Vacuum Tube Jib Crane

FullSharp installed an articulating jib crane with a vacuum tube lifter so warehouse staff can stack carton boxes onto pallets and high tiers without lifting by hand. The wide pad grips the lid evenly and keeps each box level, so operators simply guide it into place, corners stop getting crushed and shoulders and backs are spared over a full shift.

Each carton is light on its own, but stacking them all shift wears out shoulders and backs. Carrying them by hand often crushes a corner, hurting the look of the goods on delivery. Warehouses also stack boxes high, so reaching the top tier is both difficult and unsafe.

FullSharp installed an articulating jib crane with a vacuum tube lifter hanging underneath. The pad presses onto the box lid: switch on suction and it grips, release and it lets go, keeping the box level at all times. The operator simply guides it by hand toward the stacking spot, and the arm follows.

Equipment Installed

Vacuum tube lifter: a bellows tube that extends and retracts with suction, raising, lowering, and holding the box using a single handle.
Carton lifting pad: a wide-area suction pad that spreads the force evenly, so the lid never gets crushed.
Articulating jib crane: rotating joints give a wide reach, making it easy to swing around columns and racking.
Vacuum pump: runs continuously, fitted with a check valve so the box does not drop if power is suddenly lost.
