Carton boxes stacked against the wall and tight against pallet corners are out of reach of a straight arm, so workers still have to lean in and carry them by hand. With hundreds of repetitions per shift, backs ache and stacking speed drops off toward the end.

FullSharp installed an articulating jib crane on a mobile base, with two arm sections that fold to reach into blind corners. The FullSharp vacuum tube lifter grips the box surface, and the operator simply pulls the handle to raise and lower the box.

Equipment installed

  • Articulating jib crane: two independently rotating arm sections that fold to bring the suction head into corners a straight arm cannot reach.
  • Mobile base: a counterweighted base on casters, pushed by hand to another area, with a locking pin during work.
  • FullSharp vacuum tube lifter: a tube that extends and retracts with vacuum pressure, moving smoothly and holding its height when released.
  • Carton suction head: a rubber suction pad for cartons that grips firmly without denting the box lid.
