When changing a material roll, workers have to roll it by hand from the rack onto the machine shaft, then center it manually. A round roll drifts easily, and the aisle beside the machine is too narrow for a forklift. Every roll change stops the line for quite a while.

FullSharp mounts a 5T rail jib crane on the wall right next to the machine, with a rated rail load of 200 kg. A roll lifting tool hangs below it, holding the roll core securely while lifting. The rotating arm carries the roll from the rack straight onto the machine shaft, cutting the roll-change time.

Wall-mounted 5T rail jib crane with a roll lifting tool positioned beside the machine in the plant.

Equipment Installed

  • 5T steel rail: FullSharp's rail section, rated load 200 kg, forming the arm of the rotating frame.
  • Wall mounting plate: fixed to the wall or a plant column, no need for a floor-mounted post that takes up space.
  • Rotating joint: swings the arm through the mounted angle, carrying the lifting point from the roll rack to the machine shaft.
  • Roll lifting tool: slides into or clamps the roll core, keeping the roll aligned with the shaft during lifting and lowering.
  • Rail trolley: slides along the arm to center it on the shaft before lowering the roll.

Benefits for Your Facility

Faster roll changes

The roll is lifted and carried straight onto the shaft, so the line stops for less time than before.

No floor space used

The crane is wall-mounted with open space below, so the aisle beside the machine stays clear.

Accurate centering

The trolley slides along the arm to align the shaft center before the roll is lowered.

Installation Consultation for Your Facility

FullSharp inspects the wall or column where the mounting plate will be fixed, measures the distance to the machine and the rotation angle needed. Technicians measure the roll's diameter, width and core, and weigh the actual load to select the right lifting tool. After the survey, you receive a layout drawing, an anchoring plan and an installation schedule.
