500 kg Push-Type Gantry Crane, Elec. Hoist

Many plants lease their building and can't drill into the ceiling structure, yet still need to lift loads weighing several hundred kilograms. Borrowing a forklift for each short lift wastes time waiting and lacks the precision needed to set loads into an exact spot. What's needed is freestanding, movable lifting equipment.

FullSharp supplied a 500 kg push-type gantry crane carrying an electric hoist, with the entire load transferred to the floor through its two legs. The operator pushes the gantry into place, then presses the hoist button to lift and lower. Once done, the gantry can be pushed to another area or parked in a corner of the shop.

Installed Equipment

500 kg crossbeam: a steel beam spanning between the two gantry legs, with the underside serving as the runway for the trolley carrying the hoist.
Two gantry legs with casters: steel legs on wheels, moved by one or two people across a flat floor.
Electric hoist on the beam: push-button lifting and lowering with a load-holding brake at stop, and a pendant control within reach of the operator standing below.
Caster locking brakes: lock the wheels before lifting so the gantry stays steady throughout the work.
