FullSharp installs a pneumatic manipulator with a vacuum suction head for heavy, smooth flat sheets, with an alarm that warns as soon as vacuum drops below the safe level. The operator has time to set the sheet down before suction becomes dangerous, and a holding valve seals the suction chamber if air supply is lost.

Flat sheets are smooth and heavy - carrying them by hand risks slipping and scratching the surface. With vacuum equipment, the biggest concern is losing suction mid-lift without the operator noticing in time.

FullSharp installs a pneumatic vacuum sheet manipulator whose suction head presses onto the sheet surface and lifts it straight up. The system includes a low-vacuum alarm so the operator can set the sheet down before the vacuum reaches a dangerous level.

Pneumatic Manipulator with Vacuum Sheet Lifter and Safety Alarm

Pneumatic vacuum sheet manipulator with a vacuum alarm unit, installed in the workshop.

Equipment Installed

  • Vacuum suction head: suction cups arranged to match the sheet size, keeping the sheet flat without sagging in the middle.
  • Vacuum alarm unit: a gauge with a signal that alerts when pressure drops below the safe threshold.
  • Pneumatic manipulator arm: carries the sheet's weight, leaving the operator to just guide direction and position.
  • Vacuum-holding valve: seals the suction chamber if the air supply is lost, preventing the sheet from dropping suddenly.

Benefits for Your Facility

Warns before it's a problem

The alarm triggers early when vacuum drops, giving the operator time to set the sheet down.

No scratches on the sheet

Soft suction pads contact the surface, leaving no marks the way mechanical clamps do.

Light work all shift

The pneumatic assist carries the load, so repeated lifting doesn't tire the operator out.

Frequently asked questions

What happens if a vacuum lifter loses suction mid-lift?

The vacuum alarm unit signals when pressure drops below the safe threshold, giving the operator time to lower the sheet. A vacuum-holding valve also seals the suction chamber if air supply is cut, so the sheet does not drop suddenly.

Will a large sheet sag in the middle when lifted by vacuum?

Suction cups are arranged to match the sheet size, which keeps it flat without sagging. FullSharp lays out the cups after checking the real sheet dimensions and thickness.

How much effort does the operator need?

The pneumatic arm carries the sheet's weight, so the operator only guides direction and position. That reduces slips and surface scratches compared with carrying by hand.
