FullSharp installed an overhead rail along a production line carrying an electric hoist and a roll-hanging fork for heavy paper, fabric and film rolls. The roll is hooked through its core or cradled, lifted at the press of a button and pushed along the rail to the right machine, so it never touches the floor and forklifts are not needed in narrow aisles.
Material rolls are round, heavy, and prone to rolling away — setting one down on the floor scuffs the edge. Lifting a roll onto the machine by hand is slow and dangerous, especially over the full length of the plant. Narrow aisles also make it hard for forklifts to maneuver.
FullSharp installed an overhead rail running along the production line, carrying an electric hoist and a roll-hanging fork. The roll is hooked on, lifted with a button press, and pushed along the rail to the right machine. The whole system sits overhead, keeping the floor clear.
Overhead rail with electric hoist and hanging fork lifting a material roll in the plant.
The roll stays suspended the whole way, so the edges and outer layer are never damaged on the floor.
The rail guides the load straight to the machine without blocking the aisle used by trolleys.
One person lifts and delivers the roll, replacing a team of several carrying and pushing it.
A roll-hanging fork passes through the core or cradles the roll body and keeps it balanced. The roll stays suspended all the way to the machine, so the edges and outer layer are never scuffed on the floor.
In narrow aisles, yes. The rail is fixed to the ceiling structure along the line, takes no floor space and guides the load straight to the machine without blocking trolley routes.
The electric hoist has a brake that holds the load and a slow descent for seating the roll. The operator walks beside it with a pendant control, watching and controlling at the same time.
FullSharp measures the roll's diameter, width, and weight to select the hanging fork and hoist capacity. Our technicians also survey the plant ceiling, the spacing between mounting points, and the rail length required. Contact FullSharp to schedule a survey date.
