Mobile Aluminum Rail Crane for Carton Lifting

The warehouse layout changes with each season, so it is hard to know in advance where lifting equipment will be needed. A fixed jib crane becomes an obstacle a few months later, while lifting boxes by hand is slow and tiring.

FullSharp supplied an aluminum rail jib crane mounted on a mobile base, with no floor drilling or ceiling mounting required. The arm carries a vacuum tube lifter built for carton boxes and rotates a full 360 degrees. To move to a new area, the operator simply pushes the whole unit over and lowers the outriggers.

Equipment Installed

Mobile base: a steel frame with casters and outriggers, relocated by pushing it by hand.
Aluminum rail jib arm: a lightweight aluminum beam rotating 360 degrees, with a trolley that runs smoothly along the arm.
Vacuum tube lifter: a flexible bellows tube that raises and lowers the box, operated with a single-hand grip.
Carton lifting pad: a rubber suction cup pressed onto the lid that does not dent or tear the cardboard.
