What is the Classic B-M?

The Classic B-M is a Lifts All vacuum gripper for loads of up to 100 kg. Interchangeable applications and a choice of handles adapt it to many different loads. The tool weighs 7.5 kg, is 586 mm high, offers a rotation function and is also available in stainless steel (SS). It handles luggage, cans, buckets, cardboard boxes, metal parts, pallets, sacks and sheets.

What problem does it solve?

The Classic B-M replaces manual lifting of loads up to 100 kg with a vacuum grip, making material handling efficient and ergonomic. Because the lower section is interchangeable, one lifting tool can serve several load types instead of needing a dedicated tool for each.

When is it used?

It is the right tool when loads up to 100 kg are lifted repeatedly and the same device must handle different kinds of goods. Typical tasks include palletising, placing parcels in mail cages, picking loads from conveyors and reaching deep into shelving. With the appropriate handle, the operator can reach higher, further, lower, or stack loads on top of one another.

When should it not be used?

The Classic B-M must not be used for loads above 100 kg; heavier loads require a solution with a higher lifting capacity, which can be engineered to order.

Vacuum gripping needs a surface on which sufficient negative pressure can be generated and held. Even so, the Classic B-M can be fitted with applications for loads that are not completely smooth – such as vacuum pads for perforated sheet metal – and with mechanical hooks for buckets, pails and pallets.

Selection criteria

To decide whether the Classic B-M fits and how it should be configured, the following information is needed:

Load weight: maximum 100 kg.
Object type: luggage, cans, buckets, cardboard boxes, metal parts, pallets, sacks and sheets.
Surface and density: whether the load is dense or porous determines the choice of suction cup and base.
Load shape: long objects, parcels, sacks, buckets and trays are handled with different applications.
Reach and working height: determine the handle (long, short, angled or one-hand).
Stainless steel: an SS variant is available.

How does it compare with other options?

With the Classic B-M, the main choice is the application. Vacuum applications – single cups, I-frames, H-frames, sack suction heads and vacuum plates – are chosen according to the surface, density and shape of the load, while mechanical hooks are used for buckets, pails and pallets. The stainless steel version (92-10065-SS) is specified where the environment calls for it.

The Classic B-M uses the same applications as the Basic vacuum lifter, so applications can be shared between the two tools. The final configuration is based on load weight and functional requirements.

When is the Classic B-M the right choice?

Choose it if the load weighs 100 kg or less, belongs to one of the listed object types and can be gripped with one of the available applications. Select the stainless version if your environment requires it. For loads above 100 kg, a solution with a higher verified capacity has to be evaluated instead.

Handle options

The Classic B-M is fitted with a fixed handle chosen for the task: long, short or angled for extra stability, or a one-hand grip for comfortable operation. The handle determines how high, deep or low the operator can reach – for example when palletising, working at a conveyor or retrieving goods from deep shelves.
