Molds are heavy, precision-machined and high-value parts. Changing them with an ordinary hoist leaves the mold swinging, at risk of hitting the machine frame, and needs several people to keep it steady.
FullSharp installs an electric-pneumatic manipulator with a motor drive, fitted at the bottom with a mold-gripping tool. The unit clamps both sides of the mold firmly, lifts it clear, then rotates it to the exact angle the operator needs to load it into the machine.
Electric-pneumatic manipulator with a motor and mold gripper working at an injection press.
Rigid clamping replaces sling suspension, so the mold doesn't sway during the move.
Machine downtime is shortened every time the product code changes.
The jaws contact the exact body area, avoiding any impact on the machined surface.
FullSharp weighs the heaviest mold, measures its body dimensions and the clearance around the press before selecting the manipulator configuration. We build the gripper to match your exact mold set, then install and test-run it.
