The customer's packing area changes location with each batch, so a single fixed lifting point does not work. Carton boxes have to be carried by hand from pallet to packing table, and doing this all shift tires workers out and lets corners get crushed. The warehouse floor also does not allow pouring a foundation for a fixed post.
FullSharp installed a jib crane using an aluminum rail on a mobile base, which can be pushed to wherever work is happening. The lightweight aluminum rail lets the trolley roll very smoothly, so pushing takes little effort. A Becker vacuum motor provides steady suction, holding the carton firmly throughout the lift.
A mobile-base jib crane with an aluminum rail and a Becker vacuum motor, used to lift carton boxes in the warehouse.
The mobile base moves the unit to wherever packing is happening instead of staying fixed in one spot.
The aluminum rail lowers rolling resistance so hands stay fresh through a full shift.
Vacuum suction on a flat surface means the carton is never squeezed or torn at the corners.
FullSharp measures the weight and dimensions of the cartons and the stacking height to select the right pad and pump capacity. Our engineers check the floor flatness and aisles to size the mobile base. Contact FullSharp to schedule a survey at the warehouse.
