A workstation had to pick up and set down parts many times a day, and each time it had to land in exactly the right spot before the operator could let go. Lifting by hand caused shaking, placement often bumped the target, and operators' shoulders tired after a few hours. The area to be covered was also wider than arm's reach.
FullSharp built a jib crane from a 5T rail (200 kg rated) to cover the full working radius, combined with a Knight Global air balancer mounted on the trolley. The air balancer counterbalances the load's weight with compressed air, so the load stays still at any height. The operator only needs to push lightly for the load to follow.
A 5T rail jib crane with a Knight Global air balancer installed at a workstation.
The air balancer offsets the load's weight, so the operator only guides direction.
The load stays still at any height, so it lands in the target spot without overshooting.
Repeated motion stays light, easing strain on shoulders and lower back.
FullSharp measures the radius to cover, the working height, and the compressed air supply available at your factory. Our engineers select the air balancer based on the actual part weight, install the jib crane, run tests, and guide you on adjusting the balance.
