5T 200 kg Rail Jib Crane for Battery Clamping

In a battery workshop, cells are taken from pallets and moved to an inspection table set at an angle. Carrying them by hand along a curved path is slow and risks collisions, while a forklift cannot fit through the narrow aisle.

FullSharp installed a 5T 200 kg rail jib crane right between those two points, fitted with a Knight Global air balancer and a battery clamp tool. The arm swings around the column so the cell follows the shortest arc, and the operator only needs a light push to reach the right spot.

Equipment Installed

Column and swing arm: light-touch slewing bearing, with the arm covering the work area between the pallet and the workstation.
5T 200 kg rail: forms the beam for the trolley, letting the lifting point reach right to the pallet edge.
Knight Global air balancer: balances the load pneumatically, keeping the cell steady when the operator lets go.
Battery clamp tool: clamps both sides of the cell with a pneumatic cylinder, with a valve that holds clamping force if pressure drops.
