500 kg Jib Crane Lifts Steel Sheets to Laser

Laser cutting shops move steel sheets from pallets onto the machine table many times a shift. Carrying a sheet with four people risks sagging, cutting hands on the edges, and scratching the surface when dragged. A sheet set off-center on the table also wastes time re-aligning before the program can run.

FullSharp installed a 500 kg jib crane right beside the machine, with a vacuum lifting pad on the arm end built for sheets. The operator presses the pad onto the sheet, lifts it straight up, swings the arm, and lowers it exactly onto the cutting table. One person completes the whole cycle while the sheet stays flat throughout.

Installed Equipment

500 kg jib crane: the column and swing arm sit beside the cutting machine, covering both the raw sheet pallet and the cutting table.
Vacuum lifting pad for sheets: multiple suction cups arranged across the frame to support the sheet's full length evenly, keeping it flat without sagging in the middle.
Vacuum pump and valve: builds and holds vacuum throughout the lift, with a warning signal if vacuum is insufficient.
Control handle: suction and release buttons within easy reach, letting the operator guide the sheet's direction while operating.
