Finished rolls can weigh several hundred kilograms and are stored horizontally in the warehouse, but the machine needs them standing upright. Rolling them along the floor leaves them dirty and crushes the edges, while a standard fork lifter can easily puncture the outer layer.
FullSharp supplied a 300 kg electric roll clamp lifter with a clamp head that cradles the roll body and tilts it. One operator drives up, clamps the roll, lifts it, tilts it to the right orientation, and delivers it straight to the feed position.
A 300 kg electric roll clamp lifter holding and tilting a material roll in the warehouse.
The roll stays on the lifter at all times, so it never gets dirty or crushed at the edges.
Tilting happens right on the clamp head, with no extra tilt table or second person needed.
From picking up the roll in the warehouse to loading it onto the machine, one operator does the whole job.
FullSharp asks for the roll's diameter, width, and weight along with the feed shaft height to select the right clamp head. We hand over the lifter, provide safe operation training, and offer warranty support in Vietnam.
