Cartons come off the conveyor continuously, and workers have to lift and turn to place each one on a pallet or shelf. The boxes are bulky, so lifting many of them wears people out, and every time one is set down too hard the box gets crushed and the contents inside can be damaged.
FullSharp installed a pneumatic jib crane at the end of the conveyor line and fitted a multi-point vacuum tool. The pad grips the lid evenly, compressed air lifts the box, and the arm rotates 360 degrees to carry it to a pallet before lowering slowly and releasing.
Pneumatic jib crane with a vacuum tool moving a carton box from the conveyor to a pallet.
Evenly distributed suction and a slow descent mean no crushed boxes or shifted contents inside.
Each pickup takes just a few seconds, so goods don't back up at the end of the line.
Compressed air carries the box's weight, leaving the operator to just guide direction. The pace holds steady through a long shift.
FullSharp surveys the box dimensions, weight, and the conveyor's output rate. We select the column position, arm reach, and suction cup layout to match your box lids. Contact FullSharp for a survey and installation proposal.
