On an assembly line, parts weighing tens of kilograms get picked up and set down constantly. Doing it by hand wears workers out within a few hours, parts easily knock into each other, and the line's pace slows down.

FullSharp installs a manipulator that combines pneumatic power with an electric supply. The unit cancels out almost all of the load's weight, so the operator only pushes in the direction needed and lets go wherever they want it to stop.

Pneumatic and Electric Manipulator for Assembly Lines

Pneumatic and electric manipulator working at an assembly station inside the factory.

Equipment installed

  • Manipulator body: a pneumatic cylinder balances the load's weight and responds instantly to hand force for smooth handling.
  • Electric control unit: powers the valves and tool, allowing lifting modes and safety locks to be configured.
  • Control handle: lifting, lowering and tool-release buttons sit within one hand, freeing the other to guide the part.
  • End-effector tool: a hook, gripper or vacuum pad fitted to match each station's part shape.
  • Overhead mounting set: fixed to a rail or support column, letting the manipulator swing and reach across the work table.

Benefits for the plant

Less fatigue per shift

The operator only guides direction while the equipment carries the weight, making a full shift manageable.

Consistent line pace

Pick-and-place time stays steady, regardless of individual worker strength.

Flexible power source

Combining pneumatic and electric power makes use of the plant's existing infrastructure.
