Mobile Pneumatic Crane, Quick-Change Tool

This workshop needs to move plastic drums and stack carton boxes, and the two loads call for two different tools. Buying two separate units takes up space and costs more, while sharing a single tool means neither load gets a secure grip.

FullSharp installed a pneumatic jib crane on a mobile base and built a quick-change tool coupling. The operator removes the drum hook and fits the carton vacuum tool in just a few seconds, with no tools required. The arm rotates 360 degrees, and the mobile base can be pushed to whichever process needs it.

Equipment Installed

Quick-change tool coupling: a latch pin and air connector combined in one unit, letting the operator swap tools by hand in a few seconds.
Drum hook tool: a hook that grips the drum handle, holding firmly during lifting and tilting for pouring.
Pneumatic carton vacuum tool: a suction pad pressed onto the lid, released by a lever on the handle.
Mobile base: casters and outriggers, letting the unit be pushed to another area without reinstallation.
Pneumatic balancer unit: carries the load for both tool types, keeping operation light for the operator.
