FullSharp installed a lift assist manipulator at the workstation to carry a heavy steel wire cutting tool that workers used to hold by hand all shift. A pneumatic balancing mechanism carries the tool weight and a multi-directional swivel joint brings it to the cut point, so the operator only guides it and the cut line stays steady.
A steel wire cutting tool is heavy, and holding it by hand through a full shift tires the shoulders and makes hands shake, so the cut line gradually drifts. Repeating this constantly also leads to musculoskeletal strain and accident risk. Setting the tool down and picking it back up for every cut also slows production.
FullSharp installs a lift assist manipulator to carry the cutting tool right at the workstation. A balancing mechanism carries the tool's weight, so the operator only needs to guide direction and trigger the cut. A multi-directional swivel joint brings the tool to the exact cutting point without carrying the whole load.
