Steel Sheet Loading onto CNC, 500kg Electric Vacuum

FullSharp installed a 500 kg rail jib crane on a floor-mounted column with a COMEUP electric hoist and a 500 kg electric vacuum lifter for 3000 x 1500 mm steel sheets at a CNC cutting machine. The lifter only needs a power supply, no compressed air, and one operator picks, lifts, swings and places each sheet precisely.

A 3000 x 1500 mm steel sheet weighs hundreds of kilograms and is long and thin, so it is hard to handle. Loading it onto a CNC cutting table by forklift or by several workers is slow, can bend or scratch the sheet and puts people at risk.

FullSharp installed a 500kg rail jib crane on a floor-mounted column with a COMEUP electric hoist and a 500kg electric vacuum lifter with vacuum pump. It only needs a power supply, no compressed air line. One operator picks up the sheet, lifts it, swings the arm and places it precisely on the CNC cutting machine.

500kg electric vacuum lifter: electric vacuum pump mounted on the lifter body, multi-pad frame laid out for 3000 x 1500 mm sheets, spring-cushioned pads, handle and controls on the frame.

Do I need compressed air for a vacuum sheet lifter?

Not with an electric vacuum lifter. The vacuum pump is mounted on the lifter body, so it only needs a power supply and can be used where there is no plant air line.

How does the lifter handle long sheets without bending them?

A multi-pad frame laid out for 3000 x 1500 mm sheets with spring-cushioned pads supports the whole sheet, without clamping the edges.

How does this speed up CNC cutting?

One operator loads each sheet without waiting for a forklift or several workers, so the CNC cutter spends less time idle between sheets and keeps running.
