Quick answer: FullSharp offers 5 electric mini crane models in 4 levels. Level 1: hand push, electric lift, 400 kg (FS-400-BZD). Level 2: powered travel and lift, 500 kg – 1 ton (FS-500/1000-0BDZ). Level 3: self-driving, 3 m powered telescopic boom and slew, 500 – 1,000 kg (FSDC-A). Level 4: hydraulic wire-rope winch with counterweight, up to 2 tons (FSDC-B). Rated loads apply with the boom retracted; at full reach expect about half.
Most calls we get start the same way: "We have no overhead crane, we need a 1-ton electric crane that can drive around the shop." Search "electric crane" on the FullSharp site and you will find five mini crane models, from a 400 kg push-type to a 2-ton self-driving unit, and in the photos they all look alike: yellow, a boom, a hook. The difference is how much of the work is handed to electric power: lifting, driving, slewing, telescoping. We have sorted them into 4 levels below, and each level adds one more powered function to the one before.
Hand push, best valueSelf-driving, up to 2 tons
Level 1
Hand-pushed, electric lifting
The simplest and most compact, for small shops and garages
Key point: the boom is raised by a battery-powered hydraulic pump from the remote, while the operator pushes the crane. The unit weighs only 330 kg, so one person can move it on a flat floor.
1,000 kg short boom / 500 kg long boom1.5 kW hydraulic pumpBase 1,800 × 800 mm
Same frame as the 500 kg model, twice the capacity.
Still compact, with a base of only 1.8 × 0.8 m that fits between racks.
At full reach the capacity drops to 500 kg, so plan for it when reaching over a machine.
Best for: loads up to 1 ton: motors, gearboxes, small mold sets, parts pallets.
Level 3
Self-driving, powered reach and slew
Precise placement in tight spots
Adds: a double electric telescopic boom up to 3,000 mm, powered slewing ±90°, stepless speed and a battery display. The legs are only 990 mm wide overall, narrow enough for the aisle between two machines.
Three versions: FSDC-A-0530 (500 kg), FSDC-A-1025 and 1030 (1,000 kg, 2.5 m or 3 m hook height).
1.2 kW AC travel motor and an electric steering wheel for tight turns.
Stepless speed lets you ease a mold onto the machine table without a jolt.
Best for: mold changes, CNC loading, machine sub-assemblies that must land in the right place.
Level 4
Hydraulic wire-rope winch, up to 2 tons
The heaviest loads, hook down to the floor
Adds: the hook hangs on wire rope driven by a hydraulic winch, so it reaches right down to the floor; a rear counterweight lifts the capacity to 2,000 kg. The operator walks behind the crane.
500 / 1,000 / 2,000 kg at short boomHalf capacity at full reachHook height 3,000 mm1.5 kW AC travel motor
Three versions FSDC0530-B, FSDC1030-B, FSDC2030-B; the 2-ton model runs on a 24V 210Ah battery.
Boom slews 90° left and right to clear lathes and injection molding machines already in place.
The hook comes right down to the floor, good for low blanks and molds sitting on the ground.
Best for: loads of 1 – 2 tons, or low parts lying on the floor.

The rated load is with the boom fully retracted. The further the boom reaches, the lower the capacity, usually about half at full reach. See each product page for full specifications.
What to choose for each request

One fixed station, lifting all dayA mobile crane is not the best fit; use a jib crane or overhead rail instead.
What to check before you buy
First, load versus reach. A 1-ton unit lifts its full rating only with the boom retracted and the load close to the legs. Reach 1.2 – 1.4 m over a machine table and you are down to about 500 kg, so weigh the part and measure from the crane to the centre of the load before choosing a size.
Second, the floor. Mini cranes need a flat floor, and the self-driving models have only about 200 mm ground clearance, so drainage channels and door sills will stop them. Aisles must be wider than the legs: about 800 mm for level 2, 940 mm for level 1 and 990 mm for levels 3 and 4. When travelling, keep the load low, drive slowly and do not slew while moving.
Third, the battery. The 12V models give about 4.5 hours of continuous work from an 8-hour charge; for two shifts, ask for a larger battery or plan a mid-shift charge. Still unsure about capacity? Read how to choose a mini crane from 400 kg to 2 tons.
Terms explained
Semi-automatic
Powered travel and lifting, but the boom does not telescope or slew by itself; some adjustment is still manual.
Self-driving
The crane moves under its own electric motor; the operator walks along and steers, no pushing.
Reach
Distance from the legs to the hook. The longer the reach, the lower the safe load.
Counterweight
A heavy block at the rear that keeps the crane from tipping forward under heavy loads.
Ground clearance
The gap between the floor and the chassis; too low and the crane struggles over channels and sills.

Frequently asked questions
Which 1-ton electric crane can drive around a workshop?
Three options: the FS-1000-0BDZ with powered travel and lift, the most affordable; the 1,000 kg FSDC-A, self-driving with powered reach and slew for more precise placement; and the FSDC1030-B wire-rope type with a hook that reaches the floor. All run on batteries, no trailing cable.
Is there a 2-ton mini crane?
Yes. The FSDC2030-B lifts 2,000 kg with the boom retracted and 1,000 kg at full reach, with 3 m hook height and a 24V 210Ah battery. Above 2 tons FullSharp builds to order and has delivered a 3-ton unit with 4 m lift.
How long does a mini crane charge, and how long does it run?
The 400 kg, 500 kg and 1-ton semi-automatic models charge in about 8 hours and give about 4.5 hours of continuous lifting. Real work is intermittent, so that covers a shift; for two shifts, charge mid-shift or choose a larger battery.
Why can a 1-ton crane not lift 1 ton at the end of the boom?
Capacity drops as the boom extends. The 1-ton semi-automatic model is rated 500 kg at full reach. Measure from the legs to the centre of the load before choosing a size.
We already have an overhead crane. Do we need a mini crane?
Yes, where the overhead crane cannot reach: corners, under mezzanines, between machine rows, or when lifting in several buildings. For one fixed station used all day, a jib crane or overhead rail fits better.
Send us the load weight, the distance from where the crane stands to the centre of the load, lift height, aisle width and a photo of the floor, and FullSharp will recommend the right level without overselling capacity.
