Weightless lifting with Bal-Trol

All Lifts All lifting tools are powered by the Bal-Trol. The Bal-Trol is a unique single-acting pneumatic lifting cylinder that lifts up to 600 kg – it works like an air hoist but far more smoothly, and is often used in place of chain hoists or manual lifting.

The Bal-Trol is made of aluminum, so it is light and moves easily along a rail or crane arm. The operator can easily adjust the lifting and lowering speed. The standard lifting height is 1.5 m, customizable up to 8 meters.

The Bal-Trol comes in two ranges – Mini and Full-Scale – each available in horizontal and vertical versions. Which version to choose depends on the ceiling height at your workstation.

More than a hoist

Compared with a conventional hoist, a load on the Bal-Trol can move freely at the lifted position (at least ±10 cm with proportional control). You do not need millimeter-precise control inputs to place the load correctly – simply guide it into position by hand, for example when fitting a tire onto an axle.

Combined with a gripper and an overhead rail system or jib crane, the Bal-Trol becomes a complete lifting system.

Bal-Trol: Range & controls

Bal-Trol Mini40 – 150 kg

The most compact and most compatible range, saving both equipment weight and space. The Bal-Trol Mini comes in 3 capacity configurations of 40 kg, 65 kg and 150 kg, with a customizable lifting height from 0.3 to 8 m. Both horizontal and vertical versions are available to suit the ceiling height.

Full-Scale Bal-TrolUp to 600 kg

The largest air hoist range, with 9 configurations and lifting capacities increasing in steps from 25 kg up to 600 kg. The cylinder length equals the lifting height; the lifting height is customizable from 0.3 to 3 m. Horizontal and vertical versions are available to suit different workshop ceilings.

The Bal-Trol offers 4 control types depending on the load: Balancing – weightless lifting/lowering by hand (loads of the same weight); PSH – speed proportional to lever pressure (loads of varying weight); Sensi-Touch – pull the handle, fine adjustment ±5 cm; Equalizer – digital balancing, precise to the millimeter.

The Bal-Trol is a patented product and a globally registered trademark. It has been ATEX assessed as having no inherent ignition source, meaning it is safe to use in potentially explosive atmospheres, and therefore does not carry CE marking under ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU.
