Aluminum Rail with Foam Panel Gripper

Foam panels are light but large and dent easily. Two workers carrying a panel across the plant get in each other's way, the panel flexes in the wind, and it dents the moment it touches a machine frame.

FullSharp installed an aluminum overhead rail along the cutting and packing area, with a foam panel gripper tool hanging below. The clamping force is spread across a wide area, so the panel is held securely while its surface stays intact.

Equipment Installed

200 kg aluminum rail: a lightweight formed aluminum rail, hung from threaded rods and easily extended along the production route.
Rail trolley: quiet plastic wheels, moved by a light push without adding noise to the plant.
Foam panel gripper tool: wide clamp jaws with adjustable clamping force so the foam surface isn't dented.
Hanger and bracing set: anchored to purlins, with anti-sway bars keeping the rail line straight as the trolley runs.
