Packaging warehouses and paper mills must stack carton boxes continuously from the line onto pallets. The boxes are bulky, handling them by hand causes slipping and denting at the corners, and after long hours workers' shoulders tire and speed drops.
FullSharp installed a jib crane on a 5T rail fitted with a vacuum tube lifter and a pad designed for carton boxes. The operator presses the pad against the box surface, a light press makes it grip firmly, and then swings the arm to place the box on the pallet.
A 5T rail jib crane fitted with a vacuum tube lifter for carton boxes in a packing area.
The pad replaces two hands holding a box, so one operator can keep up with the packing line.
Suction is spread evenly across the box surface, so cartons do not get dented or torn at the corners.
The arm swings around the post, picking up and placing on pallets without much walking.
FullSharp surveys the size and weight of your boxes to select the right tube diameter and pad type for the carton surface. We also measure the working area to finalize the arm radius and post location.
