Wheel rims are heavy, round and slippery, so carrying them by hand is hard to control, and setting them down on the machine table risks hitting the chuck and damaging the machined face. Every fixture change needs two workers, and the CNC machine has to sit idle waiting, dragging down output for the whole line.
FullSharp built a 500 kg rail frame system running from the rim rack to the machine door, fitted with a dedicated wheel rim clamp tool. The clamp grips the rim edge, the trolley carries the rim to the machine spindle, then lowers it into the fixture — one worker handles the whole operation.
