Pneumatic Jib Crane, Force-Sensing Handle for SUP

SUP boards and kayaks aren't especially heavy, but they are long and slippery, so even two people carrying one can easily bump it into a rack. The board's coated surface means a single scrape ruins a first-grade item. The work area is also tight, making it hard to maneuver such a long piece.

FullSharp installed a pneumatic jib crane with a force-sensing handle that reads the operator's push and lifts accordingly. The operator simply grips the board and moves it — the arm swings along, then lowers it onto the rack in the exact spot without any collision.

Equipment Installed

Force-sensing handle: a sensor reads the operator's hand force and lifts or lowers accordingly, with no button pressing needed.
Pneumatic swing arm: the arm rotates around a column, moving a board from the table to the rack in a single push.
Board support cradle: soft contact points that support the board along its length so the coating is not scratched.
Air supply unit: filters and regulates the compressed air, keeping lifting force steady throughout the shift.
