Mobile Pneumatic Jib Crane for CNC Loading

Workpieces are heavy, and loading them onto the CNC machine each time takes two workers to carry and align with the fixture. With multiple machines in the workshop, pushing the lifting unit back and forth by hand all shift is just as tiring as carrying the workpieces themselves.

FullSharp installed a pneumatic jib crane on a mobile base to lift and turn workpieces into the machine. An electric tow tractor pulls the entire unit between machines, so workers no longer have to push the heavy base by hand.

Equipment installed

Pneumatic jib crane: an arm rotating around the column, with a pneumatic hoist raising and lowering smoothly and holding the load at any height.
Mobile base: a counterweighted, wheeled base with a locking pin to hold it in place while loading workpieces onto the machine.
Electric tow tractor: pulls the whole unit between machines with an electric motor, leaving the operator to simply steer.
Air supply unit: filters and regulates pressure before it reaches the hoist, keeping pressure stable for precise operation.
