80 kg Jib Crane, Mini Gantry Crane Style

The customer's workshop only needs to lift light parts and components, but they still have to be picked up and set down many times a day. A full-size bridge crane would be far more than needed and would take up valuable floor space. The work area itself sits tucked into one corner of the shop.

FullSharp installed an 80 kg jib crane built as a mini gantry crane, sized to fit exactly into the work corner. An electric hoist handles the lifting while the swing arm brings the load to where it needs to go. The system is quick to install and requires no changes to the building.

Equipment Installed

Mini gantry structure: a compact steel frame that takes up little floor space, fitting neatly into a corner or narrow work aisle.
Swing arm: rotates around the post to move the load between the pickup point and the drop point without any walking.
80 kg electric hoist: lifts and lowers with a pendant control at a steady speed, with a brake to hold the load.
Trolley on the beam: shifts the reach along the beam to place the load exactly where needed.
Base and end stops: keep the frame stable when lifting at full reach and limit travel at both ends.
