Loading a server into a rack cabinet takes two or three people lifting and balancing it at shoulder height together. The equipment is heavy and expensive, and just a slight bump or vibration against the rack frame can damage the components inside. The rows of cabinets also sit apart, so a fixed piece of equipment cannot be installed.
FullSharp installed a pneumatic jib crane rated 200 kg on a mobile base, which can be pushed between rows of rack cabinets. The pneumatic mechanism lifts and lowers smoothly with no jerking, so the equipment stays almost vibration-free. The server hook tool holds the equipment in the correct position so it can be slid straight into the cabinet rails without anyone supporting it by hand.
