This gripper takes the effort out of handling milling cutter bodies weighing up to 27 kg. Cutter bodies are used throughout the engineering industry in many machining processes, and lifting them by hand is heavy and awkward. The two-in-one tool has both a hook and a piston expander, so cutter bodies can be lifted with or without their case. The expander grips in the centre bore of the cutter body, letting the operator move it anywhere without feeling the weight. When the cutter is packed in its case, the folding hook lifts it by the handle, and the case can be picked up horizontally and turned to a vertical position. Heavy, awkward lifts become quick and simple.
