Product overview

This Manhattan combi-gripper is a custom-designed lifting tool for rotors that grips both mechanically and by vacuum. The mechanical application lifts rotors weighing from 20 to 140 kg with ease. As a combination tool it also handles other loads – in this case metal sheets, which are lifted with the vacuum application. The tool is fitted with an Equalizer that balances the load with millimetre precision, so the operator stays fully in control of tool and load even when moving bulky items in tight spaces. Maximum capacity is 140 kg for the mechanical grip and 50 kg for the vacuum grip.

How does it work?

The combi-gripper uses interchangeable applications for different loads. For rotors, the mechanical gripper is used: its prongs are slid under the rotor cover and the rotor is lifted. Once the load is in the air, the Equalizer senses its weight and balances it electronically so that the load levels itself, and the operator can move it steadily and safely. To lift metal sheets or other flat, airtight materials, simply switch to the vacuum application and place the suction cups on the load – no heavy lifting required.

The Equalizer can be fitted to any Lifts All lifting tool. It controls the movement of the elements in the pneumatic hoist, making it easier to lift similar loads of varying weight and to steer them precisely, since the load is balanced continuously in the air and kept level as it rises. Whatever the load weight, lifting feels secure.
