The Basic baggage gripper with hook is an all-round lifting device, ideal for airports where bags must be handled quickly and smoothly. By replacing manual lifting, it significantly reduces the risk of repetitive strain and other work-related injuries, and spares baggage handlers the awkward postures that are so common in the job. It is widely used at both large and small airports to move baggage from open carts onto conveyor belts.

Controlled lifts

As soon as the Basic touches a surface, it locks on and is ready to lift. The user decides when and how fast to lift with the up and down buttons, which give proportional speed: the further the button is pressed, the faster the Basic raises or lowers. Combined with endless rotation of the load, this makes careful, precise positioning easy.

Intuitive and easy to learn

The handle fits all hand sizes and switches between left- and right-handed use without any adjustment. Thanks to the ergonomic design and intuitive controls, operators learn the Basic quickly and soon find the work faster and easier than lifting alone or with a colleague, with a rapid drop in work-related injuries.

Safer lifting

The Basic is a dependable lifting device. It will not allow a lift until the preset vacuum level is reached, and if the vacuum drops during a lift, it lowers itself slowly to the floor. There are two release options:

Release in the air: a firm press on the red button releases the load.
Unload first: the load must be resting on a surface before the red button will release it.
