Rubber blocks are heavy and slippery, and their elastic surface makes them easy to distort with mechanical clamps. Manual carrying wastes effort and the load often slips, especially when feeding material into the calendering machine. Dropping it once means losing the whole block.
FullSharp installed an overhead aluminum rail system with an Anver vacuum lifting device. The suction pad is selected to match the rubber surface, so it grips firmly without pressing the material out of shape. The trolley rolls smoothly along the rail, and the arm rotates 360 degrees to bring the block to the right machine.
