In woodworking plants, MDF boards, plywood and finger-jointed panels come in sizes of 1220x2440mm and larger, weighing 30 to 100kg each. Feeding panel saws, CNC machines and edge banders and loading or unloading pallets is repeated hundreds of times per shift, takes two workers and easily scratches the board surface.

FullSharp wood panel lifting equipment uses vacuum to pick up boards from the top surface, so a single operator can lift, rotate, flip and place a panel into the machine. Porous or rough-surfaced boards can still be handled thanks to high-flow vacuum pumps and dedicated suction pads.

FullSharp equipment for lifting wood panels

  • Vacuum tube lifters: lift boards from 30 to 200kg, fast enough to keep pace with the machine, suspended from an overhead rail or jib crane. See FullSharp vacuum tube lifters.
  • Lifts All equipment (Sweden): controlled with a sensor handle, suited to furniture plants that need gentle handling of many board sizes. See Lifts All.
  • Pneumatic vacuum lifters with tilting tool: pick up large wood panels and tilt them 90 or 180 degrees for machine loading or two-sided inspection. See vacuum lifters.
  • Pneumatic jib cranes and overhead rails: the suspension structure for vacuum lifters, covering the entire machine and pallet area. See Pneumatic jib cranes and overhead rails.

Benefits of wood panel lifting equipment

No scratched surfaces

Soft rubber suction pads hold the board from the top without clamping the edges, leaving no marks on melamine, veneer or painted surfaces.

Keeps pace with the machine

Each pick-and-release cycle takes only a few seconds, so one operator can keep a CNC machine or edge bander running continuously.

Fewer injuries

Operators no longer carry or twist their bodies with large boards, greatly reducing back and shoulder strain and hand pinch accidents.

Frequently asked questions

Can raw MDF or perforated boards be lifted?

Yes. FullSharp uses high-flow vacuum pumps and large suction pads to compensate for air leaking through the wood surface. Grooved or perforated panels are load tested before delivery.

Can several thin boards be lifted at once?

The vacuum lifter picks up only the top board, which is an advantage when separating single boards from a stack. If several boards must be lifted together, FullSharp uses a clamping tool.

Can it be used in a plant without compressed air?

Yes, there are 220V electric and battery-powered models. Pneumatic models require a 6 to 7 bar air compressor, which most woodworking plants already have.

Wood panel lifting solutions

Every plant differs in load capacity, workpiece dimensions, lifting frequency and working space. FullSharp carries out a site survey, recommends suitable equipment, load tests it before handover and provides operator training. The equipment is manufactured at the FullSharp factory in Taiwan, with spare parts and warranty service available in Vietnam.
