Torque tubes

Overview

Knight Global torque tubes hold assembly tools, absorb torque reaction and balance tool weight to reduce operator fatigue. Three models: ATA2800AR, ATA2900AR and the high torque ATA4500.

Knight’s Torque Tubes series is designed to reduce operator fatigue by absorbing torque reaction produced by assembly tools while balancing the tool weight. The NEWEST STYLE is more ROBUST and PRECISE while still maintaining a lighter and smoother operation than previous designs. They feature a linear bearing spline for effortless travel with zero rotational movement. The Torque Tubes are balanced by an air cylinder to achieve zero gravity balancing. Each pneumatic cylinder is supplied with single balance control.
The ATA2800AR and ATA2900AR can be swivel Tool Holders by incorporating Knight’s ASA9519 360 degree Rotating Tool Clamp. They can also be a fixed Tool Holder by incorporating the ASA9523 or ASA9524 Adjustable Tool Clamps.

The ATA4500 is intended for high torque applications. Custom tool holders will need to be designed for each application.

ATA2800AR
