Product overview

The Lifts All gripper for fiber reels makes it easy to lift reels of fiber-optic cable and other cable rolls. It lifts with a clamping function that grips the edges of the reel, so reels without a center tube can also be handled. Gripping the spool edges gives a steady hold without damaging the wound cable: heavy reels are lifted effortlessly while the sensitive cable is protected from scrapes and scuffs.

Using the fiber reel gripper

In the factory, fiber cable is wound onto large spools that are then lifted from the machine onto a pallet and stacked until the pallet is full and ready for distribution. The reel gripper makes this much simpler: instead of lifting by hand, the operator grips and lifts each reel with the tool, quickly, easily and without feeling the weight.

Turning reels from lying to upright is another heavy task. With a tilt switch, the gripper tips reels comfortably from horizontal to vertical. One less heavy task means less wear on shoulders and back and a healthier workforce in the long run.
