This warehouse ships and receives carton boxes all day. The boxes sit on plastic pallets at floor level before they go onto the racks. No single box is very heavy, but a worker bends down and lifts a few hundred times per shift. The owner wanted something one person could run, that fits into a corner of the warehouse and does not cost too much.
FullSharp installed a floor-mounted 5T steel rail jib crane right next to a concrete building column, so it takes almost nothing from the aisle. A FullSharp vacuum tube lifter hangs from the boom, and the rated load marked on the boom is 40 kg. The vacuum pump sits at the foot of the column and the hose runs along the boom on trolleys, so it follows the boom wherever it swings and never gets in the way.
The main feature of this set is the one-hand handle. The operator sets the suction cup on top of the box, the box is gripped, and lifting, lowering and release are all controlled on that same handle. One hand runs the lifter and the other is free to steady and turn the box into place. The suction head is small and light, so it reaches in between boxes stacked close together on the pallet.
40 kg 5T steel rail jib crane with a FullSharp vacuum tube lifter picking carton boxes with a one-hand handle.
Gripping, lifting and placing a box takes one hand on the handle, with no more bending down for every box.
The column stands against a building column, the boom covers the whole work area and the small suction head slips between boxes.
FullSharp equipment is made in Taiwan and sized for boxes under 50 kg, which keeps the investment reasonable.
