Mobile Pneumatic Jib Crane for Carton Lifting

Cartons are light but numerous and repetitive — lifting them by hand all shift tires the shoulders and easily dents the corners. The packing area also changes location depending on orders, so a fixed column mounted to the floor isn't practical.

FullSharp installs a pneumatic jib crane on a mobile base with a multi-pad vacuum lifting head. The suction pads grip the box surface evenly, spreading the suction force so it leaves no marks. Workers simply push the handle to move boxes from the conveyor onto the pallet.

Installed Equipment

Vacuum lifting pad: a suction frame spread across the box surface, holding it firmly without denting the cardboard.
Vacuum generator unit: runs on compressed air, with a vacuum-holding valve so the box doesn't drop if pressure falls.
Pneumatic jib crane: the arm rotates around the column, with a reach that covers the whole span between the conveyor and pallet.
Mobile base: a heavy wheeled base, allowing the unit to be pushed to another line when orders change.
