Pneumatic Jib Crane, Vacuum Pad for Cartons

At the end of a packing line, cartons come out continuously and need to be stacked onto pallets. Bending, lifting, and twisting all shift causes back pain and uneven stacks. Cartons also have low structural strength — squeeze too hard and the corners dent.

FullSharp installed a pneumatic jib crane with a vacuum lifting pad mounted under the arm. The pad presses onto the top of the carton, compressed air lifts it, and the operator rotates the arm to move it onto the pallet before lowering. The carton always stays level, so the stack lines up evenly.

Equipment Installed

Load-bearing rotating column: swings the arm between the line and the pallet, avoiding manual carrying across the aisle.
Pneumatic lifting cylinder: raises evenly, holding the carton suspended so it can be positioned before setting it down.
Vacuum lifting pad for cartons: suction cups spread across the frame grip the box surface without denting the corners.
Control handle: lift, lower, and release the load right on the handle, letting one person run the whole cycle.
